Mobile Welding & Line Boring
for Machinery & Heavy Equipment in Auckland & Waikato
If your machinery or equipment needs repairing but getting it to a workshop is difficult, we can bring the workshop to you.
Wilatt provides mobile welding, machinery repairs, and line boring, allowing us to carry out a range of repairs directly on site.
We can help repair worn excavator pins and bores right through to cracked buckets, damaged attachments, farm machinery, and heavy equipment. Our mobile setup is designed for the jobs that aren't easy to throw on a trailer and bring into the workshop.
We're based in Bombay and provide mobile services across South Auckland, Franklin and North Waikato, with travel further afield available depending on the job.
Need something repaired? Send us a few photos and we'll let you know if we can help.
What we can repair on site
Our mobile welding and line boring setup is suited to repairs on machinery, equipment, and heavy steel components.
Common jobs include:
Excavator and digger repairs
Bucket repairs
Hitches and attachments
Worn pins and bushes
Worn or oval bores
Loader arms and pivot points
Cracked steel components
Farm machinery and implements
Trailer and transport equipment
Heavy equipment repairs
Welding repairs and modifications
Replacement plates, brackets, and mounts
If the repair needs a fabricated component, we can also manufacture parts at our Bombay fabrication workshop using our CNC plasma cutting and fabrication equipment.
Mobile Line Boring
Got movement where there shouldn't be?
Over time, the bores that hold pins and bushes in machinery can wear, enlarge or become oval. Simply replacing the pin or bush may not solve the problem if the bore itself is worn.
That's where line boring comes in.
Line boring allows us to repair the worn bore and machine it back to the correct size and alignment so that the pin and bush can fit properly again.
Our portable line boring equipment means we can carry out this work on site, rather than requiring you to transport an entire machine or large component to our workshop.
Mobile Welding & Machinery Repairs
Not every machinery problem needs line boring.
Our mobile setup also allows us to carry out welding and fabrication repairs on site, making it a practical option for machinery and equipment that is difficult to move.
That could mean repairing a crack in an excavator bucket, replacing a damaged plate, repairing a farm implement or modifying an existing piece of equipment.
And because we're a fabrication workshop as well as a mobile repair service, we're able to manufacture replacement steel components where required rather than being limited to the repair itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
You may have a worn bore if you're noticing:
Excessive movement around pins
A loose or sloppy bucket
Knocking through an attachment or pivot point
Pins that don't fit correctly
Bushes wearing out unusually quickly
Oval or visibly enlarged pin holes
Movement even after replacing pins or bushes
Misaligned pivot points

Moving heavy machinery isn't always straightforward.
Depending on the equipment, transporting it to a workshop can mean organising transport, removing attachments, or taking a machine out of operation for longer than necessary.
Mobile repairs allow us to bring the equipment to you.
For suitable jobs, that can mean:
Less machinery transport
Less dismantling
Fewer logistics
Reduced downtime
Repairs carried out where the machine is already working
Sometimes bringing the machine to our workshop will still be the better option. If that's the case, we'll tell you.
